Sue's self-produced CD, “Unbreakable Heart,” is an extraordinary collection of her most popular compositions, featuring the great Eddie Gomez, Lenny White, Mark Murphy, Toninho Horta, Michael Urbaniak, Darmon Meader, and many more. Sue will take you through harmonically lush soundscapes, at times scatting along with her piano solos. Her lyrics possess an unusual depth, often sparked with an edgy wit.

Highlights include her zany scat vehicle, “Scat!”, featuring solos from Downbeat Reader's Poll #1 Male Vocalist, Mark Murphy, and New York Voices' Darmon Meader; Sue's lyrics to Eddie Gomezs' haunting “Delgado/Sonhos Reciclados”; her Portrugese duet with Brazil's national treasure, guitarist/singer/composer Toninho Horta, “Never to Learn/Nunca Aprender,” which recalls his mentor Milton Nascimento as well as Tania Maria; and the adult contemporary, “Child of Three,” featuring Michael Urbaniak on violin.

Other musicians include percussion powerhouse Rodney Holmes (Steps Ahead, Michael Becker, Santana, Joe Zawinul); bassists Rogério Botter Maio (Gerry Mulligan and Manfredo Fest) and Gregory Jones (Jon Lucien); reedmen Rodrigo Botter Maio, James “Doc” Halliday, and Darmon Meader; flautist Jamie Baum; Brazilizn Drummer Vanderlei Pereira (M. Fest, Nando Lauria); Brazilian percussionist Valtinho Anastacio (Elis Regina); Café (Elaine Elias); mideastern percussionist Todd Isler; guitarist Paul Meyers; and trombonist David Sacks.

There are more musicians performing on “Unbreakable Heart:” David Spinozza and Courtney Sappington on guitar; Andrew Lippman on trombone; and Phillip Brown, Mindye Fortgang, Luiz Simas, Susan Davis Pereira, Derrik Jordan, Terezinha Valois Fest, Franya Berkman, Rogério Botter Maio, and Sue on background vocals.
